Do you think that we are known by our actions alone.

i feel people are judged far to critically on what ther father's have done.
i think a reputation, for one slip and fall accident, can override a life time of corrections.
people will remember what stands out vividly in the mind.
seldom is remembered the calmest acts of time.

If we remember the calm acts we might be able to replicate them even under duress.

i think that a person who is outside of "us" can't really know all of what we think or feel, so they have to make their "estimations" of us according to our observable behaviors/deeds, & by using their fantasies of our inner-working (and hope that they have a good enough understanding of us to be accurate (enough) in the end)

I just think that so often it is our ideas that live beyond us and not our deeds unless our deeds meet our ideas.

according to an article in today's Washington Post, one can be known as much for one's associates as for one's deeds! this was referencing Obama's tainting by the remarks of his pastor.

Lesson Learned -- do what you want, 'cause if someone wants to tar you, they'll do it anyway! ;-)

There is no greater impotence in all the world like knowing you are right and that the wave of the world is wrong, yet the wave crashes upon you.

Fear not ignorance, or the wave it comes upon.

I think that we are known by our actions alone to some, but not by all. There are others that are willing to look a bit deeper and see the cause of the actions that a person makes. There is a cause for every action.
